Edward Nana Yaw Koranteng is a lawyer by profession and an Investment Banker with over sixteen years’ experience. He worked at PriceWaterhouseCoopers as a management consultant from 1999 to 2000. In 2000, he joined Ecobank Ghana, where he worked extensively in mid and senior management roles across the retail, corporate banking and legal divisions of the Bank. He later served as one of the Bank’s lawyers dealing exclusively with corporate, mining and oil and gas transactions including the set-up of the Ecobank support office in Beijing China.
Edward served as Group Head of Corporate and Institutional Banking for Access
Bank (a leading Nigerian Bank) before moving to Fidelity Bank Ghana Limited as
Head of the Energy, Oil & Gas and Mining Division in 2012 where he structured oil
and gas transactions in excess of US$ 500 Million between 2012 and 2015.
He also advised, set – up and implemented the Energy, Oil and Gas strategy for the Chase Bank Group and Genghis Capital Limited (Dubai and Kenya) in Kenya and Tanzania.
Edward is a member of the Ghana Bar Association; Member of the English and Welsh Bar and the Honorable Society of Lincolns Inn (UK). He holds an LLB and Master of Laws (LLM) in International Banking and Finance from Leeds University (UK), a Post Graduate Diploma in International Trade and Corporate Law from BPP Law School (UK) and a BA (Hons) from the University of Ghana.
